In his fascinating, terrifying and often very funny book, James Hider takes his doubts about religious beliefs straight into the dark heart of the world's holy wars—from Israel to Gaza to Iraq—the birthplace that spawned so many faiths—and then back to Jerusalem. From hardcore Zionist settlers still fighting ancient Biblical battles in the hills of the West Bank to Shiite death squads roaming the lawless streets of Iraq in the aftermath of Saddam; whether it's the misappropriation and martyrdom of Mickey Mouse by Gaza's Islamists, or a US president acting on God's orders, Hider sees the hallucinatory effect of what he calls the 'crack cocaine of fanatical fundamentalism' all around him. As he meets terrorists, suicide bombers, soldiers, ayatollahs, clerics, and ordinary and extraordinary people alike, the question that sparked his journey continues to plague his thoughts: how can people not only believe in this madness, but die and kill for it too? This extraordinary and timely book takes the God Delusion debate onto the streets of the Middle East. It casts an unflinching yet compassionate eye on the very worst and most violent crimes committed in the name of religion, and then sharply asks the questions the world needs to answer if we are ever to stand a chance of facing our own worst demons.
The horrors committed in the name of religion in the world today are nowhere more obvious than in the Middle East. Whether we are talking about Shi-ite death squads roaming the lawless streets of Iraq in the aftermath of Saddam or hardcore Israeli settlers condoning 'tactical strikes' to clear the way for more new homes; whether it's the delusional leader of the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade in Gaza or a US marine convinced that he's doing god's work when he tortures a prisoner, James Hider sees the malign influence of what he calls the 'crack cocaine of fanatical fundamentalism' all around him. He's not the kind of journalist to shy away from danger, so as he travels around the middle East, from Israel to Gaza and finally to Iraq, he takes his doubts about religious belief to the very heart of the world's holy wars. He meets terrorists and suicide bombers, soldiers and ayatollahs, ordinary people and extraordinary people. The question in the back of his mind is why if all these people are so religious do they expend so much time and energy on trying to kill each other? This extraordinary and timely book is a fascinating, terrifying and yet often very funny extension of the God Delusion debate, in travelogue form. It casts an unflinching eye on the very worst and most violent crimes committed in the name of belief and asks questions which the world needs to answer in order to stand a chance of survival.
I have written many books and articles on various topics but since 2013, I have devoted myself fully in writing the interpretation of the Holy Quran in English and with the grace of Allah, I have completed the whole Quran on 29th October 2020 with 84 books. I believe there is a great need in the whole world for the correct interpretation of the Holy Quran to be written in English. Currently, there is a great misunderstanding about Islam among Muslims and non-Muslims globally. The misunderstanding of the meaning of the Holy Quran among Muslims will lead to the wrong practice of Islam which leads to the wrong actions of Muslims. The wrong actions of Muslims will lead to misunderstandings about Islam among Muslims and non-Muslims. The wrong actions of the Muslims have led to many miseries and wars among Muslims. The wrong actions of Muslims have also led to many wars and clashes between Muslims and non-Muslims. In order to avoid miseries, wars and clashes from taking place between the whole mankind in the whole world, the whole mankind in the whole world need to understand the true teaching of Islam. There is no other way for the whole mankind to understand the true teaching of Islam unless the whole mankind is able to read and understand the correct interpretation of the Holy Quran. The whole mankind is only able to read and understand the correct interpretation of the Holy Quran when it is written in the universal language of the world (English). For this very reason I have written the interpretation of the Holy Quran in English. Prof. Nasoha Bin Saabin
Fez, 1954, and American ex-pat Stenham reluctantly accepts a guide for his night-time walk home through the streets of the Medina. A nationalist uprising is transforming the country, much to the annoyance of Stenham, who enjoys the trappings of the old city. His path soon crosses with the young, illiterate son of a healer, another outsider to the newly politicised life of Morocco, in this brutally honest novel of life in the midst of terrorism, violence and the ugly opportunism that accompanies both. Bowles's most masterly novel combines his classic themes: the conflict of Eastern and Western cultures and the trials of otherness.
I am a spider who is higher in rank than other spiders. With all humility, if all the spiders in this world were put in one hand and I was put in the other I would outweigh them in superiority. I am not one to make false claims and show-off, I am simply stating facts. I do not think that I need to introduce myself to the reader, for I am sure you understand that I am the spider of the cave that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) hid in. I am the one, who was responsible for the Prophet's deliverance. I am the one, who Allah (God) sent to protect him. My web is very flimsy and light and the slightest breeze can blow it away. However, despite the weakness of my web, I managed to ward off the iron swords of the atheists that went out in pursuit of the Prophet, and moreover, I was able to defeat them! The outcome of the conflict between the spiders' weak silk and the iron of the swords was the defeat of iron. My house is considered a parable of weakness, "Verily, the frailest (weakest) of houses is the spider's house." I sat in my house protecting the noble house of Islam and guarding the Prophet of Allah, Muhammad ibn ' Abdullah (peace be upon him). That was not all that happened to me. Something even more wonderful happened; I saw the Prophet. I know that after the Prophet's death, millions will visit his grave to cry and pray.
Among the major publications of IQRA Publications is the popular Islamic monthly in English, the Young Muslim Digest, arguably among the foremost in this type of publishing in India. This magazine is being brought out regularly by IQRA Publications since the past 36 years. The magazine carries authentic Islamic material for the Western-educated and/or West-influenced youth, presented in a creative manner, while yet highlighting the beliefs of the earliest predecessors and an understanding of the Qur’an and Sunnah on the pattern of the great majority of Islamic scholars of the past, and of those prominent down to the present age. In view of the authentic nature of its contents, the magazine has been awarded license for distribution in Saudi Arabia. Besides the regular, monthly, production of the Young Muslim Digest, IQRA Publications has quite a few other Islamic titles to its credit. Each one of these books offer authentic material and cover topics that are not normally covered by other publishers. It is, perhaps, for this reason that they are popular even outside the country. Malaysia, for instance, imports many of IQRA’s titles regularly.

The five principles, namely the Quran; Hadith; Ijma; Kiyas and common sense makes and stabilizes the whole of Islam. I have observed that the writings and commentaries of a few who are ignorant or are not fully versed in the knowledge of the Quran and Hadith are taken as the root by a few, who by their writings, commentaries and orations are propagating ideas that are a distortion of and in complete variance with the religion of Islam and thus create "Bid`ah" amongst the public. To those who seek genuine and authentic ideas of the Quran and Hadith, these expositions have become stumbling blocks. Therefore, I seek to expostulate the basic facts and ideas with supporting evidences that constitute Islam that I gained by years of painstaking and difficult research. The style of writing in this book is much against the traditions and style adopted in normal book writing. It is not divided into chapters but mere orations; some ideas are repeated several times and that too in many different angles. I, therefore seek your indulgence and patience to read and understand and do not come to conclusions by just going through parts of the book. The contractual obligations between you the reader and me is that if you are a Mumin who fully believes in Allah and Rasool (Quran and Hadith) then study this book, if not do not lay hands on this book.
The Holy Quran, the heavenly book of Islam. It is Allah's eternal Speech; it is pure, and one cannot touch it unless they are purified. Allah (SWT) says in Quran: It is a noble Quran. In a well-protected Book. None can grasp it except the purified. A revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. It is intended to be a chapter, according to Surah. There are 6,236 ayahs (verses) in Quran, Ayah is a word that signifies "sign" or "wonder." It signifies that every Ayah of the Holy Quran is a symbol of Allah's Majesty. And every Ayah is a miracle because no creature, whether humankind, jinn, or angels, can make it; it has 77,430 words in total. Some benefits of the Holy Quran The Qur'an will be proof for you on the Day of Judgment. Your status in this life will be raised. The Qur'an will intercede for you on the Day of Judgment.
