To this end, we have utilized new computer technology as it became available - for composition as well as for cataloging purposes. In earlier years we were only able to include the overall abstract for a conference or symposium Proceedings. For the past several years we have been able to include, in addition, abstracts for the individual papers presented. Also, for the past several years we have been able to include information on Patents, Grant /contract Reports, and other items which we had not been able to cover previously - all this toward the end of increasing the catalog's usefulness in communicating nbs work to the public.
