It is based on twenty-four-plus years of experience living and working with twenty clients at a time who were experiencing drug and alcohol addictions and other addictive and destructive lifestyles. Ellen Gardner experienced these individuals as both teachers and students. Many interactions and experiences with society, bureaucracy, friends, and family are shared.
